Terms of Reference

  • Monitoring and evaluation focus on GVL investment initiatives such as:
    • 80 tph mill in Tarjuowon North
    • New Land Preparation of 18,000 Ha
    • Bulking project in Greenville
    • Grand Kru joint venture
  • Manage all operational investment project aligned with business budget & planning to meet approved operating and financial target
  • Manage all GVL investment project milestone to ensure compliance with the Concession Agreement, RSPO Principles and Criteria, and Liberian Law and Regulations
  • Acting CEO in his absence to lead GVL Operations (farms, mills and ports), Procurement & Logistic Management, Planning & Budgeting, Infrastructure & facilities in more than 15,000 hectares of plantations and three mill and port facilities in South Eastern Liberia
  • Develop Liberian technical and managerial cadre to be responsible for key operations and functions in the company and ensure capable management succession plan and effective employee development training and development programs

Qualifications and Requirements

A. Academic & Professional Qualifications

  • Graduate University degree (M.Sc, or equivalent) in Engineering, Finance or Agronomy

B. Professional, Proven Work Experience

  • Successful 10 years experience in the Oil Palm industry
  • Minimum 5 years of management experience in business operation with responsibility for commercial budgets & investment
  • Minimum track record of 20,000 hectares land operations, $100 million balance sheet, and $50 million turnover
  • Successful track record in meeting challenging financial, compliance and reporting targets, audit and budgeting
  • Experience in training a new, growing team

C. Skills

  • Corporate and technical investments budgeting including SAP FI and ERP
  • Financial modeling, review & analysis in an Excel spreadsheet, able to write and utilize formulas
  • Manufacturing process technical knowledge including process plants and mills
  • Managing and developing multicultural workforce and management

D. Traits

  • Proactive, team player, loyal, honest, helpful, recognized good character
  • Adaptable to multi cultural setting with mutual respect
