Terms of Reference

  • Supervise procurement and logistic department, GV Aviation department, and corporate tax
  • Monitoring and control of Liberian and GVL’s corporate tax policies implementation
  • Supervise agronomy and manufacturing procurement operations process with domestic and international suppliers, meeting or achieving agreed cost and supply standards & targets
  • Manage financial and asset risks according to policy
  • Conduct monthly reviews and evaluations of procurement actual cost incurred against budget
  • Review and monitor internal supplier periodic assessment and cost-performance evaluation process
  • Acting as CFO in his absence to oversee Financial & Control activities in more than 15,000 hectares of plantations and three mill and port facilities in South Eastern Liberia
  • Coach, train and continuously guide F&C division to achieve high proficiency and professionalism in all accounting, financial administration and business control processes
  • Conduct and implement career and succession planning, skills & knowledge transfer and team’s performance and evaluation

Qualifications and Requirements

A. Academic & Professional Qualifications

  • BBA, BSc (Accounting, Management or Administration) Degree. MBA would be an advantage
  • Membership of an accredited professional accounting body (CPA, ACCA, CIMA, etc., ) an advantage

B. Professional, Proven Work Experience

  • Successful 3 years experience in the Oil Palm industry and total of 7 years' experience in resources sector overall with remote operations such as plantations, forestry, mining, minerals
  • 5 years experience in a senior managerial role with successful experience in budget & control, accounting, and tax
  • Minimum track record of 20,000 hectares land operations and $50 million balance sheet
  • Hands on experience with internationally recognized computerized, integrated, modular financial and procurement system
  • Successful track record in meeting challenging financial, compliance and reporting targets, audit and budgeting
  • Experience in training a new, growing team

C. Skills

  • Corporate and technical investments budgeting including SAP ERP
  • Financial modeling, review & analysis in an Excel spreadsheet, able to write and utilize formulas
  • Good knowledge on Commercial and Contract Management
  • Managing and developing multicultural workforce and management

D. Traits

  • Proactive, team player, loyal, honest, helpful, recognized good character
  • Adaptable to multi cultural setting with mutual respect
