Terms of Reference

  • Take responsibility for Heavy Equipment fleet of 100 units maintenance management system and implementation across all GVL’s operating regions, group of farms, or a division of the company
  • Work closely with Warehouse & Oil Palm Materials Managers of each Region to establish and implement heavy duty spare parts and Materials Management System
  • Work closely with Heavy Duty Equipment Maintenance Manager and Supervisors in Workshops of each Region to establish and implement heavy duty maintenance schedule and supplies needs forward plan
  • Formulate standard operating procedures (SOP) and continuously evaluating and improving the scheduling
  • Guide and train local maintenance schedulers and materials supervisors, assistant managers and managers to independently carry out their responsibilities
  • Organize and perform skills and knowledge transfer to build further Liberian cadre of management and supervisors and in accordance of the company development plan
  • Ensure environmental protection standards as regards to maintenance of chemicals and substances 

Qualifications and Requirements

A. Academic & Professional Qualifications

  • BSc in Mechanical Engineering, with 5 years' working experience in automotive, mobile or industrial plant; or
  • Diploma in Engineering, with 10 years' working experience in automotive, mobile or industrial plant

B. Professional, Proven Work Experience

  • Minimum 5 years experience in
    • Fleet maintenance planning and management
    • Maintenance scheduling
    • Maintenance costing
    • BOM and work order preparation
    • Rotating spares management
    • Maintenance systems using SAP, Oracle or dedicated system
    • Spare parts Warehousing and Inventory Management
  • Successful track record in
    • Previously implementing Maintenance Management System in fleet of 100 units minimum
    • Training of junior planning managers and workshop supervisors

C. Skills

  • Familiar with major accounting and ERP systems such as SAP
