Building Markets creates jobs and sustains peace by working across sectors with both large and small companies, as well as the Liberian government, UN agencies and international organizations, to support local businesses, build and strengthen local supply chains, and ensure monies spent in Liberia stay in Liberia. Building Markets began working in Liberia in 2011 and also implements the USAID Sustainable Marketplace Initiative Liberia (SMI-L). GVL and Building Markets partnered for community radio training in rural sotheast Liberia.
The Ebola Private Sector Mobilization Group was established to facilitate a mobilized and coordinated private sector response to the Ebola virus disease in West Africa. The scale of the Ebola virus disease outbreak in West Africa was unprecedented. The need for a coordinated and massive global response was identified and international institutions, organizations, governments, non-governmental organizations, and the private sector were mobilizing as part of these efforts. Golden Veroleum Liberia is a founding EPSMG member.
Innovative Education Liberia provides innovative, efficient and affordable education solutions for children in Liberia. IEL believes the future of children in Liberia can be changed through innovative computer-based learning and character and leadership development. As children are changed, communities are changed. IEL and its parent organization Innovative Education International partnered with GVL to bring mathematics and computer training workshops to elementary and high schools in the Liberian southeast.
The Sinoe County Association in the Americas was formed to promote peace and unity in the Liberian-American diaspora in the Americas and to contribute to the infrastructure and human resource development of Sinoe County, located in the southeast of Liberia. SCAA has partnered with GVL to develop educational resources in Sinoe.
