Golden Veroleum Liberia Continues To Promote Liberians To Key Positions

Sinoe County, Liberia – Eleven Liberians have been promoted within Golden Veroleum Liberia’s (GVL) Agronomy, Finance and Human Resource Departments in Sinoe and Grand Kru Counties, as part of the company’s on-going commitment to building a truly Liberian enterprise.

The new appointments follow the recent promotion of Mr. Elvis G. Morris to Vice President for Sustainable Strategy Stakeholder Engagement. Mr. Morris previously served in various capacities including Logistics and Procurement Manager, Senior Manager for Logistics and Procurement and General Manager for Central Operations.

As Vice President for Sustainable Strategic Stakeholder Engagement, Mr. Morris now has a supervisory role over the Human Resources, Communications, Legal, Sustainability, Procurement and Logistics Departments.

Randall Kaybee, Sr. was promoted to Communications Coordinator previously serving as its Supervisor.

Announcing the new appointments, GVL CEO Mr. Patrice Lobet said: ”GVL is committed to building the capacity of local people to serve in senior levels in our business. These promotions reflect the capabilities of our local team and I am proud to have so many young Liberians playing key roles in the future development of GVL.

Samuel H. Cooper, Murvee Adams, N. Dwelity Dweh, Z. Nyemah Walloh, Leroy Tealeh and Melchi M. Kollie were promoted as Assistant Managers in the Agronomy Department; George K. Yarkpah and Jerome Boye were promoted as Assistant Manager and Accounts  Officer respectively in the Finance and Control Department; Victor Kaydor was promoted to Assistant Manager in the Human Resource Department while Findley Erastus Koiwood was promoted as Assistant Manager for Warehouse. To date GVL has 200 Liberians in managerial positions.
