GVL complies to the Principles and Criteria of the Roundtable for Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) and GAR Social and GAR Social and Environmental Policy (GSEP) which includes no development on High Carbon Stock (HCS) forests, no development on peat, no burnings for new plantings, respecting the rights to Free, Prior and Informed Consent (FPIC) for indigineous peoples and local communities.” Further, according to our soil maps in all the ESIA/HCVA there is no peat in the areas where we operate.
